Five-million-euro expansion of Mainz-Marienborn location
Popack Logistik GmbH is expanding its location in Mainz’s Marienborn district. From July 2014, a major investment will be made on the company-owned site: at a cost of five million euros, a 3,500-square-metre logistics building will be built with a total of 9,000 additional pallet storage spaces. “We will use the additional storage capacity to expand the extensive range of services we offer to pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim”, explains Managing Director Andreas Popall, adding that: “The integration of a mobile shelving system will allow us to use the building volume as efficiently as possible.”
When the new building opens, which is expected to be in February 2015, the company will have 20,000 pallet storage spaces.
“By making this investment, we are able to make jobs in our company a little more secure. We have already hired new staff”, Popall says.
